Thank you!

On behalf of the Rotary club of Harwich and Dovercourt can I please express my heartfelt gratitude again to all those who made a contribution towards the Santa collection this year.

It was touch and go for a while but we were delighted we could to take to the streets and spread some much needed festive Joy. The pandemic meant we were unable to be at the supermarkets and the street tours were in doubt until the last minute so I would also like to thank all those who made it possible, seeing the faces of the children as we toured the streets made it all worthwhile.

We know that many people came out to contribute but were unable to give in the usual way as there were no collectors, we did have a couple of strategically placed sanitised buckets on the sleigh but as we were moving, albeit slowly, it made it impossible for most. If you did want to donate we have a just giving page, the link is:

All the money raised by Rotary goes to local organisations and charities and also International causes in desperate need such as shelter box, Polio eradication and feeding programmes , however through the COVID 19 pandemic we have prioritised donations to the Salvation army and NEST where we know it will go locally to those most in need.

Thank you again, Have a Great Christmas, Stay Safe and let’s hope for a brighter and better 2021

Andy Fern

President
